Maison Corbeaux

Today we opened a bottle of the first edition Rip Van Winkle 12 year rye, which was released around 1996/1997 I am told. The rye was most likely distilled at the Medley distillery. The whiskey is a dark bronze, exceedingly rich, spicy, and layered, with baked apple, quince paste, caramel, toffee, oloroso sherry, vanilla, clove, cardamom, and toasted grain. It's delicious. Our selection of rare finds at Maison is constantly changing, so if you are a collector it's best to swing by every now and then and see what we've been able to unearth.
