I remember feeling helpless, disappointed and like an outcast. I wanted-to-want it (lose weight and thin), but I did not believe enough in myself to even try, so I did nothing about it. Why even try when it seems like such an up hill battle? My motivation radar was at about 1. After a decade of struggling with my weight and gaining over 100 pounds in my early adult years, things completely shifted. It took me a year-and-seven months to do it, but I went from a size 26, weighing 300 pounds to a size 6 and losing 140 pounds. I was motivated, driven, educated myself and hired profession help, so that I could reach my weight loss goal. All those years I thought it was going to be too hard, so why even try, but instead I discovered something totally different. Losing weight was fun! It was not at all a battle like I anticipated it would be. I am now able to live my life doing things that I enjoy; like play sports (I love playing softball and volleyball), hiking, ride my bike and a lot more. Most of all I believed in myself enough to take those first steps! It changed every part of my life. And that is why I am going into health coaching, I want to show you the things I learned and taught myself during my 140 pound weight loss. My weight loss beta group starts in one week and we already have an amazing group of ladies ready to make changes with their health.
