This comparison excites me.🤗 Left is 2 days out from East Coast Cup last October and right is 2 days out from North Americans last month. Happy to see significant upper body growth! Legs came in similarly conditioned, and again were one of my "weaknesses" on stage. Just have to keep working and focusing on density. • My last improvement season was kind of all over the place - I was adjusting to a new job/terrible commute, and my online grad school program, both of which kept me out of the gym regularly for a couple months 😳😣. I was depressed about it until I finally accepted I couldn't compete in the spring, and eventually found enough stability to simply get my gym routine back. • This improvement season is a different story - now I'm consistent and balancing everything like I never thought I could. Bicep curls and face pulls! Everything is sped up. The face pulls look weird from that angle but be sure to engage your scapula and drive out with your elbows! For the curls keep your arms at your side and squeeze slow and controlled. Pause at the top when your muscle is most engaged. Try these out ! And excuse my workout face 😂.

Whoop whoop 💪🤷‍♀️First workout done in THREE DAYS!! Yep, you heard that right, I skipped my last 3 days of workouts!! 🙈🙈 Does that make me a bad coach or person? NOPE, it just makes me a NORMAL HUMAN. The hardest part of skipping workouts, is starting them again the next day. 1 skipped workout leads to 3 skipped workouts, leads to a year of skipped workouts. You feel me? If you've been skipping your workouts and trying to figure out how to get back on the fake "wagon" you've made up in your head, here's the secret... you were never on a real wagon to fall off of... you imagined the wagon you got on in the first place ... so just like you imagined a wagon to hop on, imagine yourself motivated to workout... then.. . GET UP AND DO IT ALREADY. I'm not a #fitness junkie. I'm not more motivated than you. I don't love working out. I have to MAKE myself do it or I skip it too. September. 1 year ago. I loved this look! But I remember that this dress was fitting a lot more snug than it was supposed to. But this front profile pic was less "telling" (always picking the best "angle" for IG back then). At this point, I was slowly falling back in to bad habits. But I wasn't so far gone. I knew that I needed to quickly get back in to my groove before I was at a point where I needed to start all over again. It's interesting how quickly things can turn around... for better or worse. It's never too late. When you feel like things may be going south, find your groove and get it together. The change will come...either way. 😊

10th set of squats so cut me some slack if they're a little rough. 8 sets of 12 at 105, 2 sets of 6 at 135. Kept the weight lighter so I can get the full range of motion and shoot for the below 90°.
