Happy Tuesday everyone, thought I would update you on how my fat loss is going. I call this stage "pre-competition prep". My first competition, I started official bikini competition prep when I was 30% body fat. I didn't get quite as lean as I hoped (I got down to 20% by the time I was on stage), so this time I'm being a little more patient with my body. So far, since my last weigh in, I have lost 3.5" in all and 3% body fat. This puts me at 27% body fat. Notice how I'm not using the scale to gauge progress? I find that the scale can often lead you to believe no progress is happening when there really has been good progress. So what's my stage goal??? 15-18% body fat, that means I have 9-12% to lose. And that's NOT easy, but I can do this. This is a good point in my fat loss, I'm happy to watch myself continue to transform. As I have been telling myself this year - slow and steady wins the race. Take steps in the right direction and you will get there. What I've been working on this year is keeping myself at maintenance macros, restoring my metabolism and keeping myself active which has resulted in fat loss. August will be about changing my split and increasing my time in the gym to 6 days a week. Anyone who wants to join me, I'll be going to gold's gym in Issaquah (but I can go to any gold's). 😊👍🏽👙🏋🏽‍♀️
