This is a really awesome video summary and a very nice testimonial about our #trainthetrainers weekend :) Thanks @marijke_dejong 😊 Last weekend I joined the ‘Train the trainer’ seminar with my personal trainer @woutercoaches and personal trainer @le_mikey from Vondelgym, @seftonclarke from the National Ballet and head trainer at Vondelgym and Olympic coaches @jordenbres and @tjallingkKnijff from the Dutch Olympic Commitee and Dutch Sports Federation. We learned so much about anatomy, physiology and biomechanics and about prehab and rehab exerises, and the theoretical topics included: The difference between passive and active stability. The anatomy of the shoulder and hip joints. How to deal with and avoid spine related issues? The muscle & strength training pyramid. The importance of a tailor made approach. And many more fascinating topics. We also did a lot of practical exercises, including active stretching techniques and vertical and horizontal push and pull exercises to improve our core, flexiblity and moblity. The coaches were great examples, and I had many devils in my details, so I had to tweak the important 2mm here and there, but that’s how it works: you grow as you go and CANI as you try and those 2mm changes and little improvements add up. Above all, I had an awesome weekend with these top coaches and I got lots of inspiration for the 'ST For The Rider’ program. If I had a dollar for every time someone said I was crazy or stupid I probably wouldn't need to work another day in my life lol. I know what I have set out for myself seems impossible to them but nothing is impossible. I can achieve whatever I assert myself too. Having someone like @cassmass94 by my side only pushes me harder. I know this is only social media and y'all could give two shits about my life or my lifting, but I wanna thank those that support and believe in me and watch my lifting and offer tips and pointers. Seeing me progress over time has been amazing as well as watching other people I follow hit milestones in their lifting/bodybuilding careers. I feel these are sports where you never stop learning no matter how long you've been doing it. You gotta handle the rough days in order to enjoy the good days. Those are the days that build you tougher. Keep kicking ass y'all. 2017 is the year of big totals and monster PRs!
Quest Nutrition's Peanut Butter and Jelly. Calories: 200 Protein: 20g Carbs: 20g (Dietary Fiber: 13g) Fat: 10g Score: 4/10 I love me some peanut butter and jelly but I'm not so crazy about this bar. If anything, I'd suggest their Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough or Cookies and Cream!
