Friday is here! End of the week and nearing the end of the month! And in all honesty, there is a good deal of truth in that statement. Think about it, your body has been sleeping and fasting for 6,7,8+ hours, that's really what breakfast means; a break from the fast! I certainly think that’s a good thing if your goal is to build muscle and keep your metabolism burning fat at optimal rates. Another interesting fact is people that consume breakfast are less likely to binge eat later in the day. Coincidently those people who do binge eat later in the day, tend to not eat breakfast because they stuff themselves before bed and then don’t feel like eating when they get up. It creates this never-ending loop. The human body thrives on routine, eating small frequent meals throughout the day so you're never too hungry but never full either, and starting that routine with breakfast every day is optimal for keeping blood sugar steady throughout the day, keeping energy and alertness high and cravings low. Deadlifts from today 4x5 with 157.5kg! Buzzed with this as this was so close to my old max and managed to basically get 20 reps with it! Sets 1 and 4 shown, absolutely gassed at the end 😂😂. All about progressive overload last week I only got this for 5,5,4,4. But got all 5 this week! Very intense session today - Bench 10x3x97kg (5th set shown) felt like rpe 9 by the end, and although some of the pauses were questionable, I enjoyed each set because it never felt like too much. Unracking on my own at first was quite scary and difficult, but I've changed my setup to work around that, and now I feel comfortable repping higher weights on my own. Also, @justtrynalift, does my arch match you yet? 😂 - Also did some paused deedlifts today, 3x3x142kg (2nd set shown). Really enjoy this variation, it targets everything that is wrong with my deadlift, and now each time I pull paused, the weight is easier and easier, last set felt like rpe 8 - Finished up with some OVHD press, and some pendlay rows, the overlord of all back accessories.
