Gym all to myself, lifting in the silence, with only the noise of the weights clanging around, now that’s some serious therapy. My knee is still a little strange but none of my lifting this morning seemed to aggravate it. I PR’d on my front squat, 150lbs vs 145lbs. PR’d on my bench (didn’t try an arch today though) 105lbs vs 95lbs. And then my deadlift, I off my previous 240lbs, and tried 250lbs but got inside my head, I think, so the 250lbs just wasn’t happening today. But just getting this done today, and knowing that about 3 weeks of babying my knee hasn’t set me backwards, was super encouraging and puts me in a good place. This was my second creation made using @lodough.co . There was no way I was making two macro friendly meals so did a sweet pizza. 1 Lodough base and 3 sides. From left to right: 1) Cadbury Caramel chocolate spread with dairy milk chocolate caramel nibbles. 2) white chocolate tesco Spread with white chocolate @kitkat 😍. 3) crunchie spread with crunchie pieces. I know I mixed he packets up in the pic and it annoys me more than you would believe 😩. Do you struggle to make it to the gym consistently? Do you find that time is constantly getting away from you? Do you feel frustrated that you just can't seem to build that momentum and routine that you want? I think that this a common feeling a lot of people have. We all seem to try and do more with the same amount of time. Here are a few tips that can help you get to the gym, build some momentum and consistency. 1. Pre write your workouts BEFORE you head to the gym. You don't need to be in the gym for 3 hours for your workout to count. 2. Get a coach who can work with you. Leveraging time when you can can be super helpful. This is where you can tell them about your hurdles, time limitations, etc. 3. Decide that your gym "me" time is a non negotiable. 4. Time your rest periods and stick to it. 5. Decide if working out at a gym is best or perhaps invest in some home equipment so you have the choice of where to workout. 6. Wake up earlier and train in the morning. 7. Schedule your workouts on your least busiest days. 8. Make sure your prepared the night before. Gym bag packed, food ready to go, shoes at the door. 9. Save social hour at the gym for after your done your workout 10. Have a goal! Have a purpose. By having those it can help with motivation, consistency, and dedication. I’ve been having a bit of an “off” day but instead of just sitting in that feeling, I threw on my running shoes for a second time today ( #whoami?!), listened to some #personaldevelopment and soaked up some vitamin d ☀️ Every single moment in every single day is a chance to turn things around for ourselves and I’m making as much of an effort to do so as I can.
