HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT🔥 😱Weight loss is always complicated with fad diets and quick fixes being the main thing people opt for when they start their weight loss journey. Realistically, there is only one thing you need to employ when it comes to long term weight loss & that is being in a consistent calorie deficit. Thankfully science is finally starting to realise that energy balance is the primary reason for obesity (Howell & Kones 2017)✅ . 🥗Once you realise that a calorie deficit is the key to weight loss, you can then understand that in terms of what you eat it doesn’t matter what you consume. TEF may play a small role, but as a general rule your body doesn’t discriminate between “healthy” & “junk calories”. As @skinnygaz put it calories are a unit of energy & not healthfulness. Now, I don’t recommend a diet of mainly junk food, but there should be no problem with 10-15% of your calories coming from foods you really enjoy, once you get enough micronutrients from the other 85-90%✌🏽 . 🔥In terms of fat burners, I have a whole other post discussing why they are a waste of money, but to summarise, ingredients like acetyl-l-carnitine & CLA have little thermogenic effect (Brandsch et al., 2002, Onakpoya et al., 2012).
