Day 12/38 - Interval Training • • • Morning workout done! Today was Week 2, Day 3 of the Running for Weight Loss app. I also decided to have a "Treat Yo Self" Day and get a massage. I've had some hip pain lately from working out more. It's important to take care of yourself and listen to your body. If you're in the Charlotte area, check out @LaVidaMassage. Ms. Dawn took such great care of me and I feel AMAZE 🙌🏼 Happy Saturday friends! #fit #fitfam #fitness #gym #gymselfie #workout #challenge #healthy #healthylifestyle #fitgirls #health #fitspiration #fitspo #fitnessjourney #fitnessmotivation #fitgirl #run #runners #running #runnergirl #running
The difference between these photos: confidence, willingness to take photos, and nearly 100lbs. I thought that beginning this journey would result in solely weightloss. Little did I know, it would turn into something so large it sparked a fire inside me. Wanting to lose weight turned into learning dedication, discipline, consistency, courage, and most importantly, it became a passion. Did I think in the beginning I would still be doing this nearly 4 years later? Hell no. Absolutely. Not. I remember that I wanted to lose the weight and get back to eating all the goodies. Now my diet is mostly plant based. Who would have thought? ------------------------ The point is, never be afraid to start something new. Never doubt your abilities. Leaving a comfort zone is never easy, but it's almost always worth it. You're the only person who is control of your life. Take action now to make that change! Take action now to move those moves! You. Got. This. We. Got. This. 🙌🏼💪🏼💓
If you're a person that thinks you can't enjoy healthy yet indulgent desserts or snacks - let's say delicious food - while staying lean and keeping healthy, I got something for you! 😬 These healthy peanut-energyballs are the perfect example for such kind of food: They're tasty, healthy and it doesn't take a lot of time to make them! 👌🏽 • For those of you who want to try them themselves, here's the recipe: You need: ...30g roasted & salted peanuts ...40g peanut-butter ...75g cream cheese with yogurt (I used one of the brand @exquisa_frischkaese) ...60g chocolate (at least 85% cocoa-content) ...75g chopped hazelnuts (you can use whatever nut you desire) • How to prepare them: Mix the peanuts, the cream cheese & the peanutbutter together and place it for about 45min to an hour in the freezer so that the mixture gets a little more solid and thus can better shaped into balls! When the mixture is ready prepare the chopped nuts and melt the chocolate! Next you got to form between 10-16 balls (depends on how big you want the energy-balls) and dip them (use a fork or something like that 😁) at first in the chocolate and then in the chopped nuts! Place the finished energy balls on a kitchen roll in the fridge and let them cool down for at least 1h. 👌🏽 Now they should be ready and can be devoured by you guys! 😁🙌🏽 • Let me know what you think about them and most important enjoy them! By the way they fit into a low-carb lifestyle, too! 👍🏽
Late lunch with traditional ensaimada & almond icecream;-)) 🙌🏻
➡️Roughly 70 percent of an adult’s body is made up of water. . ➡️At birth, water accounts for approximately 80 percent of an infant’s body weight. . ➡️A healthy person can drink about three gallons (48 cups) of water per day. . ➡️Drinking too much water too quickly can lead to water intoxication. Water intoxication occurs when water dilutes the sodium level in the bloodstream and causes an imbalance of water in the brain. . ➡️Water intoxication is most likely to occur during periods of intense athletic performance. While the daily recommended amount of water is eight cups per day, not all of this water must be consumed in the liquid form. Nearly every food or drink item provides some water to the body. . . . STAY HYDRATED 🤗
