A much needed quad stretch, I made sure I took the time to do the complete leg stretch. It took me all day to talk myself into doing leg day this evening. 3 nights of soccer in a row plus I added bootcamp to my workout regime. My hamstrings have been sore for the past 3 days but im not sure why they are still hurting so much! The day after training, you should be sore! DOMS, or Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness may make you feel like you can’t walk! Good job! You have torn the small muscle fibers of your muscle and now your body must set to work to repair, recover and adapt to the situation. This is where it is essential that you are feeding your body correctly and you are getting enough rest and recovery to enable the food and muscle to do it’s thang and grow, grow, grow!! So make sure you leave at least 48hrs before working a body part again. Sometimes, if you are still sore, wait 72hrs until the muscle has recovered. You may want to implement a Upper Body/Lower Body Split to facilitate enough rest in between. Make you you are getting enough sleep. Your body doesn’t grow in the gym, it grows when you are asleep!! For anyone that knows me well enough, knows how much trouble and set backs I've had with my knee. But for every set back I've practiced resilience! Getting back up and going at it again! With surgery on my knee a few months away I've still been able to manage this rehab on my knee and still work legs to this extent. Been able to maintain some mass and set myself up for recovery. Never Give Up!
