Listen, I had vegan donuts, pizza, burgers, nachos, ice cream, yogurt, while on vacation and not once did I feel deprived. In fact, I was like waaaaaaaait, is this for real vegan bc 😋.⁣ ⁣ There are nonvegan diets that are more restrictive than a vegan diet. Also, there are SO many ways to enjoy a vegan diet. 🌱🥛Happy Worldwide Plant-Based Milk Day! If you haven't tried one of the many varieties available yet, I highly recommend it! Not only are there health benefits associates with drinking these alternative "milks", they are also MUCH better for the environment. Agriculture associated with dairy cows uses a lot of resources like land and water, as well as the fact that it produces a massive amount of waste. These "milks" are typically lower in fat, and rich in vitamins and minerals not found in regular milk. In particular, the Pea Protein milk in the pic from @bolthousefarms boasts 10g of protein per serving while only containing 5g of sugar. Also, the Oat Milk I featured from @planetoat contains 2g of fiber that is non existent in cow's milk. As you can see, Almond milk and Soy milk aren't your only options! Give them all a try until you find one you love. ♥️

Pasta with Tamari Mushrooms 😋💕 Follow us for more An easy and delicious recipe to try out! ​⠀ ​Recipe⠀ 100g pasta of choice⠀ 1 clove garlic⠀ 1/2 medium onion, chopped⠀ 150g mushrooms, chopped⠀ 2 tbsp tamari⠀ 1/4 cup oat milk⠀ 1/2 tsp garlic salt⠀ Large handful spinach⠀ Boil the pasta according to packaging instructions. Meanwhile, add the garlic, onion and mushrooms to a non-stick frying pan and sauté for around 5 minutes, until the mushrooms cook down. Add the tamari, oat milk and garlic, lower the heat, and stir for a further 2-3 minutes before stirring in the spinach and the pasta. By now many of you have seen on your timelines endless posts (some images are accurate and others are inaccurate or outdated) regarding what is happening to the amazon rainforest, an area of the world responsible for 20% of all of our oxygen.  It’s no secret this not only affects the native eco-system and the homes to hundreds of indigenous tribes, but it has an impact on all of all us across the globe. Illegal and legal human activity related to deforestation is the cause of these latest rounds of fires.  Why are they doing it?  Ultimately to transform the land for animal agriculture use.  How come?  Because of the demand for meat.  Human activity is also the cause of climate change, the single biggest issue humanity is facing and relies heavily on the Amazon to help fight.  What does this all mean?  As the Amazon and other forests are destroyed, climate change will accelerate.  What can we do to fight this madness? In addition to @-ing politicians, influential leaders and more, we all can ourselves by critically looking at our own lifestyle choices that we are all responsible for and understand how they impact the climate.  I’m no saint, my lifestyle choices has had and still have impact on climate change.  This is why it’s critical for none of us to judge each other aggressively but for us to educate, unite and do our best to reduce our own carbon footprint and promote solutions.  What does this all mean?  Our diets.. our shopping habits.. our jet-setting traveling and more is all contributors to climate change.  Being vegan is simply not enough.  It’s certainly one of the singles most effective things we can do to fight against climate change but there are other critical steps to consider. did you know that in 8th grade when people asked me what my favorite food was i would say cookie dough ice cream!? 🤦🏼‍♀️ most peeps who know me now would laugh at that (cause i’m a coo coo health nut)! 🤓 still, doesn’t mean i don’t freeking crave it! 💋❤️ so i had this brilliant beyond brilliant 🧐 idea to make VEGAN COOKIE DOUGH NICE CREAM last night! 🍦💕 this was the BEST decision i think i’ve made in awhile! 👌🏽 sooo yum, soup quick to make && GF/VEGAN! if ur craving a dq blizzard— make this babes! anywhosies, peace out my friends & have an awesome friday eve! 🌈🌷💫 . for the COOKIE DOUGH 🍪 1. 1 can white beans drained 2. 1/3 cup cashew butter 3. 1/4 cup pure maple syrup 4. 1/4 cup coconut flour 5. 1 tsp vanilla 6. 2 tbs almond milk 7. a dishy dash of pink salt 8. 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (i used @enjoylifefoods) - blend all the ingredients (except the chocolate chips) in a food processor until smooth. pour mixture into a large bowl. fold in chocolate chips. make 1 tsp sized balls w the cookie dough. place balls on to a baking sheet w parchment paper. place in the freezer. . for the VEGAN NICE CREAM 🍦 - in a food processor blend sliced froz nans on high until it gets crumbly. scrap down sides then add a couple spoonfuls coconut cream. blend on high until smooth. add in a splash vanilla. blend one last time to mix in the nilla! scoop the mixture into a bowl & place in freezer for about 15 mins or until it hardens a bit! . NOW (once you so patiently wait 😅) all you have to do is mix in some cookie dough balls to your nice cream & boń appetit! 🤗✨

Tag a friend that would love to eat this Kimchi Sriracha fried rice with Asian Garlic Tofu by @nm_meiyee Recipe Fried rice 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 small diced onions 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tablespoon minced ginger 1 cup kimchi, roughly chopped 2 1/2 cups cooked rice (day-old) 2 tbsp tamari soy sauce @ceresorganics 1 1/2 tbsp sriracha @ceresorganics 1 teaspoon sesame oil @ceresorganics Salt and pepper to taste In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high. Add the onions, ginger, garlic and cook until they start to turn translucent, about 2 to 3 mins. Add the chopped kimchi and stir until heated through, about a minute. Add the rice, soy sauce, sriracha and sesame oil, and stir until all the rice has been well coated with all the sauces. . 1 batch baked tofu 1/4 cup soy sauce 2 tbsp maple syrup 2 tsp cornstarch 2 tsp pepper 1 small red onion, finely minced 1 tbsp ground ginger 6 garlic cloves, finely minced . Prepare baked tofu. Drain 1 block (about 14 ounces) extra-firm tofu. Slice your block of tofu into 2 or 3 even slabs. Coat the tofu with 1 tbsp olive oil, a tsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Bake at 400f for 25 mins. While tofu is baking, in a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, pepper, cornstarch and ground ginger until combined. Set aside. In a large pan, heat the 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat. Add the red onion, garlic and sauté for 2 mins. Slowly pour in the soy sauce mixture, and stir until combined. Continue cooking until thicken. Remove pan from heat. Add in the baked tofu, and toss until it is evenly coated in the sauce. Serve the rice with the tofu.
