The topic this week seems to be gratitude. I've been hearing this word repeatedly lately. And I've also had a lot of challenges this week. Certain issues or problems of my own doing and certain problems that were really out of my control. And though I acknowledge that I cannot control everything, I realise that I CAN control to a large extent my reaction to most if not ALL things. Let's talk about habits. There are habits that serve us and habits that don't serve us. It's important to know what these are for we often repeat these learned behaviours without realising. And without realising it, these habits play a key role in not just how we perceive ourselves but also how we perceive everything that happens around us. I want you to think about your good habits. Got em? Now think about your bad habits? Sorted? Good. Now think about the short and long term benefits of the good habits. Best case scenario. Write them down. Now think about the short and long term negative effects of your bad habits. Worst case scenario. Now try and map out how your life looks in the next 10 years if you maintain those habits. Write that down... Now, I don't have to tell you what you need to do in order to get your life in relatively good order. You already know. What's it gonna take you to start changing the things you know you can change to get better?
