Enjoy art and fun every day at the FOA -By @stunewslaguna Suzie Harrison "There’s a whole lot fun going on at the @festivalpageant every day! So get your artist beret revved and ready or your thinking cap charged because the Festival of Arts has fine feast of free and low-cost art activities, workshops, classes, as well as music, literary, and art related events and happenings for people of all ages to experience, express, and enjoy. The newly renovated Art Center at the Festival has Summer Art Workshops daily through Aug 31, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., that include Printmaking Workshops, Multi-Media or Mixed Media Workshops and Ceramics. Carla Meberg, ( @locaarts president) who loves teaching classes at the FOA, got me jumping for joy, or as I say in my normal vocab, doing front flips and back flips, thinking about the endless art opportunities on tap. “Something that many people don’t know about the Art Center at the Festival is that we have two projects every day that are free. One is in the printmaking booth and the other is in the mixed media booth,” said Meberg. “It’s free for everyone, so we serve at least 100 people every day just doing the free activities. We love to have people come out and have a wonderful time making art.”
