Had an amazing session with my exercise physiologist today for my ankle rehab. Leg press was involved 🙌🏻 We did a check in as well and I’ve made some amazing progress. Even when you know you’re progressing, it’s a major boost to see it in the numbers. It’s almost time to start hitting the gym for more than just my rehab. Progress baby!

Für mich war das heute ein feiner PR mit 40kg 5x3 strict press. 🥳 Ick freu mir. Langsam zeigt das Training die ersten kraftmässigen Erfolge. Es ist halt mega anstrengend und ich muss echt aufpassen den Pumper Kram aus dem Kopf zu bekommen. Letzteres gelingt mit mittlerweile sehr gut. One of the best ways to keep progressing with your weight training is to apply the proven method of 'progressive overload' ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With progressive overload, each time you train you gradually increase the intensity, volume, time or frequency on a particular exercises or set of exercises in order shock the targeted muscle into growth, so that the next time that muscle is targeted it can handle an even greater level of resistance or stress. Incorrectly, some who follow this method increase only volume as a means of progressive overload, generally by aiming to increase the load on the targeted muscle.
