I’m not perfect but who is? I don’t have flawless photos with filtered apps, I don’t have an IG photographer to take amazing snaps, I don’t have a clean white home with great lighting for photos or videos. I’m not a perfect mum and sometimes I doubt that I’m even a ‘good’ mum. I yell, I cry, I have tantrums because of my kids tantrums, I’m constantly trying to get the right balance of fun-Mum and working-Mum, and some days my kids watch more tv than I usually allow. My IG account is raw, honest and not picture-perfect, just like me. I’m a mum, a housewife, a fitness lover, I fluctuate between being an optimist and a pessimist, I struggle for self-motivation half of the time even if I don’t show it, and I’m my own worst critic. And I’m honestly only here to try to inspire and motivate other mums and women out there to not only lead a healthier lifestyle, but to just be themselves. Today I feel like shit, in more ways than one, and I’d rather go back to bed than get my sweat on. But right now, I’m cycling on my home bike and about to do @bubs2bikinis Day 1 week 1 lower body workout for her #bubstobikinischallenge because sometimes it’s nice knowing you’re doing a challenge with other mums who are also out there to sweat for their own physical and emotional sanity 💪🏼💗 Regardless of back pain, period pain, feeling mentally drained from motherhood on a Monday morning, and having little to no motivation to exercise. LET THE CHALLENGE BEGIN ❤️💪🏼💙 || it’s crazy how one small change can make a world of difference!!! For me that was changing environments. The last few months my motivation to train has definitely gone up and down. With trying to train in between teaching classes and trying not to get too sweaty!! I was lacking that fire, that high endorphin release that comes from a high intensity sweat session! I knew that I had put on weight after my surgery and I knew that I had to change things up again in order for me to find that motivation again.... *cue @f45_training * I’m actually shocked at how much of a difference it has made to my training this past week!! I’m excited to get to the studio every day and the encouragement and support from other people in the class as well as the trainers has been amazing!!! I can’t praise it enough so far!!! I love being part of a team and that’s exactly what this feels like!! Day 1 of the F45 #8weekchallenge done and dusted!!! ||MONDAYS|| • Some Mondays I'm all for 'get it girl', #monslay and 'new week new goals'................................. This morning is not one of those Mondays 🙄. I woke up feeling like I hadn't got enough sleep, I took myself for my warm up walk and before I had got half way I had convinced myself to listen to my body and maybe just do a yoga session this morning. By the time I got back into the house, I was just going to to do activation and pyramid sections of my PWR workout 😑. Surprise surprise that was a terrible idea. My polar wasn't picking up my HR properly which was making me 😡, and I just WAS NOT feeling it. So... I did what I should have done all along... Got on my mat and stretched and flowed 🧘🏼‍♂️. I got in a VERY quick stretch, so now I'm feeling under achieved and cranky.... 🌍 HAPPY EARTH DAY 🌎 _ Bae and I took to the beach today to pick up trash. After 4 full bags it felt like we barely made a dent. So many plastic bags/bottles and styrofoam cups. (Also probably a few bags of poop but I’m trying not to thing about it.) It feels really good to do something to protect this earth, and I promise I won’t wait until this time next year to do more.
