Haven’t hit you guys with a #transformationtuesday video in a hot minuto 🔥 There is over two years between these two sets of photos. Two years of ups and downs. Two years of bouncing between constantly starving, times of binge eating and then finally.... balance. Balance of knowing that it’s okay to have your treats but also realizing that I just feel so much BETTER when I fuel my body with the right nutrients. I workout 3-6 times a week, I’m not killing myself when I workout 6 times but I don’t feel guilty anymore when I’m only able to make it 3. Life is busy, chaotic and hectic. However, don’t use that as an excuse not to go. We truly make time for what we want to do and what we prioritize. The most important thing I’ve gained while on this journey is self love. Self appreciation. Confidence. It’s not every day, some days are harder than others. Some days I look in the mirror with nasty self comments and other days I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Here i am in my natural face state 💁🏻‍♀️No make up, no eyelash extensions, no tattooed brows🙅🏻‍♀️. JUST ME! (Well and my cute hubby of course 😘) while it’s super fun to get all dolled up i was finding that without make up, without eyelash extensions i was EMBARRASSED to go anywhere public or have anyone see me! 🙈 anyone feel the same!? I would like hide in the grocery store if i saw anyone i knew and totally avoid eye contact with everyone 🏃🏻‍♀️💨 So i made the challenge for myself to embrace my natural face. Embrace ME! 🤗So i no longer have eyelash extensions. That doesn’t mean i won’t get them in the future cuz they are like the BEST thing everrr 🙌🏼 but for now until I’m in a place where I’m really comfortable with “me” just the way i am, I’m going without. I would say the biggest thing that is helping me with this challenge is feeling confident with my skin being clear. I haven’t been too good at caring for my skin since i became a mom and then I’ve had a hard time finding the right fit. My skin is sensitive and i break out and can get rashes too. Beginner's Week 3 Day 2 DONE. I'm so glad I started #bbg !! I feel so much better, love the workouts, and already feel stronger and leaner. I seized the moment and got tomorrow's workout in today since I know I won't have time tomorrow. Did circuit 1 and 2 one time. Every exercise twice. I didn't die. In fact I feel ready to do every exercise three times next week. Also I switched out push ups for the exercises @corporate_sneakers recommended for building up strength to do a proper push up. I posted yesterday about how I’m not great with change... and that’s still true! This one however has been a long time coming and I’m a lot more excited that I am nervous. A lot has changed in the last few years since I graduated college: I’ve moved between MN and IL multiple times, changed jobs and fields, made new friends, and the biggest change of all, I’ve started taking my physical and mental health seriously. There’s a whole long story about how that began but I’ll save that for a later post; in fact, you’ll be able to read about it on my new BLOG that I will be launching in this next week!! Writing has always been a wonderful outlet for me and my nerdy self misses it from when I was in school #dork 🙈 I’ll still be posting about workouts, meal prep, quotes, and all that good stuff, but I’ll also be focusing on mental health and lessons I’ve learned while attempting to survive my 20s. The puppy pictures probably won’t be going anywhere. Thank you to everyone who has already been so supportive of my new adventure, I’ll hope you’ll join me for the crazy ride!

Sometimes I like to scroll through my instagram from the very beginning of my journey - on Sunday, I came across this picture and I thought “Hmm, why not recreate this for a transformation Tuesday?!” 🤔 SO I DID 🤗 ~ Same girl, same clothes, same bathroom. Different mindset, different goals, different confidence. 1.5 years and 15 pounds apart. ~ My caption from the original post, which was in July 2016 during week one of BBG pre training was: “My abs (can I call them that? Not yet! They're in there somewhere though 🙃) are still sore from Wednesday 🙄😓 but I LOVE it, it means it is working! YES! Also, these burpees killed me knee was not having it, so I threw my brace on and modified it to step backs instead of jumps. Hopefully my knee continues to cooperate through this process 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼 I hope all you lovely ladies are celebrating your fathers this weekend! I'm so looking forward to being with FAMILY, it will be interesting to see how well I stick to my diet with all of the BEER and CHEESE around, pray for me! 😜🙏🏼” ~ I still despise burpees and still have knee issues to the point that I cannot really go for jogs - AND cheese is still 100% my weakness 😅 ~ The girl on the left could barely do 5 push ups in a row, now I can bust out 30-40. 💪🏼 She could get through one or one and a half circuits in 7 minutes, I can complete 2 or 2.5 circuits! I can go on for days about the differences but I will spare you 😜 ~ I’m just super proud of myself! And even though I fell off the horse a few times, I have always gotten back on and that’s what is the most important!!!
