If you haven’t been to the Center for Civil and Human Rights...GO! In these perilous times, when the Fake President and his cronies are trying to strip away all that our ancestors worked for, were beaten, killed, tortured and treated like 3/5 human (and often much less), we must NOT FORGET! We must #resist! I was so happy to have visited with my nephews and walked through history with them!. . . #EachOneTeachOne #Colored #CivilRights

This is super late but so important!! So proud of all the women who marched yesterday in the second annual Women’s March for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families. Thousands of brave and powerful women stood up against the current state of oppression our society and current administration is perpetuating on us. Sexual harassment and assault are real and happen on a daily basis, THIS NEEDS TO STOP. We can do it! ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 Also, before you comment: FEMINISM is advocating for the equality of ALL people as citizens of the world 🌍 #women #womensmarch #womensrights #civilrights #genderequality #equality #female #lady #bodypositive #girl #girlpower #fightlikeagirl #strong #powerful #together #friends #peace #usa #unitedstates #washington #wecandoit #beautiful

After the successes of J20 this year and last I think it's important to remember those who came before J20. The Million Woman March of 1997, National Woman's Day formed in 1909 by the Socialist Party of America, the International Women's conference of 1910 (and successive International Women's Day of 1911), and the work of several organizations and countless individual activists like Clarina Nichols, a journalist from the 1800's. Clarina was also a conductor on the underground railroad. Please keep telling these stories. Men everywhere need to hear them. . #solidarity #seeredwomensworkshop #womensmarch #womensrights #j20 #civilrights #womensmarch2018 #powertothepolls
🇺🇲⚛️ A #throwback of the #marchforscience in LA for today's rounds of marches taking place in my country. It's ALWAYS important to stay relevant and aware, but in times such as these, the pressure is on to keep in contact with governing bodies and make it VERY clear this kindergarten behavior is unacceptable. 😤 I have no concise words for the absolute embarrassment I have for my country. It's.... Unreal. And it really makes me wanna JET, but that's not the best way to address this problem I wanna help solve, so here we stay to fight another day. ✌️ Tolerant societies must be intolerant of SOMETHING, and I choose to be inflexible in my demand for modern policies that address the same issues we've faced for forever with new tools. My education is a major driver to elevate myself to a position that can afford even more time and energy to supporting my local and national community, and ensure the next generation truly DOES get a world better than what I inherited. . . #America #americanproblems #shutdown #trumpshutdown #civilrights #marchforsciencela #march #fightforyourright
A woman’s beauty is more mysterious than the depths of our universe and those beyond it. Something beautifully inexplicable. A rose without thorns. Arousing yet soothing. Tangible yet just out of our grasp. A blessing from whom our feeble minds can’t truly define. A woman is all of what we desire. So why do we subject them to the “lesser” of what our world has to offer? Less respect, less acknowledgement, less recognition, less encouragement, less advancement, less pay, less equality, less love. Less love is loveless. Don’t we love our women? Do we need a lesson in love? Why is there a women’s march? Shouldn’t we be marching for our women? Don’t we love our women? Do we need a lesson in love? • Video by @FrederickDBarnes follow for more.
