Take time to celebrate the little achievements. Even if you’re not where you want to be appreciate how far you’ve come. - I’ve gained way more than physical improvements through eating healthy and training my ass off.. without literally training it off. I’ve gained a healthy mindset and relationship with my body and with other people. - If you’re not challenging yourself you’re not growing. I have hard days where I don’t want to train or do cardio but seeing other people post their progress and sharing their positive mindsets is what keeps me going. I like seeing people striving to be their best selves. - Always put 100% into everything you do or you’re cheating yourself out of something great. Most importantly, be patient with yourself and don’t shrug off what may seem like little progress. It all adds up to something big in the end. 💙 - I’ve put in years of work to get where I am now and I’ve truly developed a love for the gym and wouldn’t be the person I am today without having gone through this journey.

When you realize it's more about having fun and enjoying the everyday than it is about worrying then that's when the magic happens. Dont get me wrong... still make sure you fucking prep your damn meals, do your damn cardio and crush your fucking weights... but at the end of the day if you can't find enjoyment in what you're doing you're never going to last... so yes..I like to train with my fucking shirt off from time to time at the right gyms where its appropriate.. It reminds me of being that 15 yr old out of shape kid (yes I used to get picked on and teased alot.. I was the shy chubby dork) that just discovered bodybuilding and wanted to look like all his heros like Arnold, Dorian, Stallone, BruceLee, Levrone, Flex, Shawn... all the greats.. well now.. I do look like that.. so I'm gonna enjoy the ride.. because youth is fleeting and doesnt last forever... I have maybe 20 years left of peaking this body that God gave me if I am so lucky to continue to be blessed for that long. So I'm going to max out the time God has and will be giving me on this earth to do the things I've always admired as a kid... and if that means being fucking ripped at 230 and training with my shirt off for extra motivation when I'm in contest prep but tired af so be it... that's what I'm gonna do 👊💪 Officially one week out from the rest of my life... win or lose I'm gonna rock that stage brother. Well Michigan States wasn’t a success in regards to placing and definitely was a failure in peaking properly but regardless of the outcome, after all the emotions and ego laid has been laid to rest..the improvements I made in overall muscle mass, bringing up my weak points and symmetry are undeniable and encouraging. Now I want to generally talk about the mistakes made to hopefully help some people avoid my mishaps and what I’m going to do moving forward -Mistakes:1) not enough carbs in general, especially early in the week 2) cut water too early which once I was flat didn’t give me the ability to fill out late..sadly left my core watery and bloated after trying to fill out late 3) Did not hit straight on pose in comparisons 4) Overall conditoning needed to be better but I think I will always feel that way -My plans moving forward: The muscle mass I was able to gain in the last 1.5 years while not competing completely changed my physique for the better. I was able to put on 15-20lbs of genuine muscle mass(will post comparisons later on) and finally hit a good straight on pose which is so important when competing nationally and I really think I’m starting to find my groove in every aspect of bodybuilding. Due to the tremendous growth I had during this time period I know that what I need is another 1-1.5 year off season to continue to fill out my frame to be competitive at the level I wish to be competitive at. I will be competing in late 2019 locally/nationally hopefully with another 10-15lbs of muscle mass added to my weak points. I believe my weak points are delts, upper chest, rhomboids, lower back and calves. As always I will tailor my nutrition and training around this to bring up these areas while holding the other muscle groups where they are or slightly improving. I am so far from where I know I can be but I am blessed enough to have the ability to wake up every day and chase it down and I love that more than anything. I don’t want to be a overnight success story. I don’t want it to be easy because then it wouldn’t feel so good when obtained. You can’t cherish success without tasting failure. PS I’m not doing duck lips, bad photo timing lol 💪🏼
