I am NOT a huge fan of this cold weather, but I try to find the positive in every situation and the positive with this weather is definitely SOUP! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Travis requested veggie soup this week and I was HAPPY to oblige! I made a few tweaks to get in some protein and carbs as well, but this was so easy to prep and throw in the crockpot and I LOOOOVE how it turned out! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Veggie Soup” 1 cup chopped onion 3 cloves minced garlic 1 cup chopped carrots 1/2 cup chopped celery 1 cup cut green beans 4 cups low sodium vegetable or chicken broth 1 cup diced tomatoes (no sugar or sodium added) 1 Tbsp. Fresh parsley 2 tsp. Fresh lemon juice 1 tsp. Finely grated lemon zest (I added 1 lb. of chicken breasts for protein, and chick pea pasta)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Add all ingredients, besides pasta, into crockpot and cook on high for 4-6 hours. Add pasta for last 30 minutes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ **This makes 4 servings, you can adjust for more or less. With recipe as is, each serving is 2G, with pasta and chicken, you would add 1 red and 1 yellow** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PS: anyone else not LOVE veggies, but when they are in veggie soup you do?!? 🤷🏼‍♀️

About a year ago I ran 6.73 miles and I remember how much it sucked! My knees hurt, my legs were tired, I couldn’t keep up and couldn’t run all the way. I dislike running A LOT... but yesterday I was able to run 7 miles, and my knees didn’t hurt, and I RAN, slowly but surely, no knee pain, no leg pain, no cramps. More than 20 weeks into the Beast program, yesterday I noticed it’s not just becoming a Beast, for the first time I am not feeling pain! I am getting stronger the right way!!! Super happy I made it all the way!!! Obviously wouldn’t have done it without support @agjuro @eiderferreira74 @leonnelsonbarz 💪🏼 -
Some days you have to go anyway. Get the workout done without over thinking it. Shut your mind off, drink coffee or pre-workout, get in the car and go... We tend to over think it and talk ourselves right out of the gym, the time we need to be taking care of ourselves. You know the best way to start the week?!?!?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Doing a 30 second burpee challenge and laughing/smiling the whole way through it because ALL you can think about is how far you have come on your journey! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I remember struggling through ONE burpee, barely able to catch my breath, and having to modify because they were just too hard! Now, a 30 second burpee challenge sounds fun because I know that progress is EVERYTHING! I get to keep showing up day after day, and proving to myself how strong and capable I really am! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t get frustrated if you are getting started and things are tough, we ALL had to start somewhere, but I promise if you keep going, the things that are tough NOW are going to be how you measure progress in the future! 💕
2 months ago, you wouldn't find me awake at 5am, or even wholeheartedly exercising. forget about eating well. . . now I spend the mornings getting to a better version of myself. it is honestly shocking how much this new routine has impacted how each day looks for me!. . I'm more positive at work. I'm more present with my husband. I feel positive and confident and proud. these are feelings I didn't have just 8 short weeks ago. . . but this program has already started to change me. today was only 15 minutes and my goal for myself was to NOT modify! even when I wanted to and my lungs were begging for it, I didn't. . . this program is for you. Couples that train together......... eat heaps of food together. Was feeling a bit energetic today. Bench press for strength WOD 1 Assault Bike HSPU Mine was the baby version - Robs too hardcore for me 😁 WOD E2MOM for 12 rounds Clean pull Hang squat clean Push Jerk Squat Clean Split Jerk @70% Then I worked on my squat clean. PB'd with 5kg up from last time 😍. 7.5kg to my goal. Looking forward to looking back on this in 6 months and cringing at the technique and weight 😁
