My training sessions typically start with explosive movements connected to speed. My favourite one of those: Snatches. I just love the feeling of being able to lift heavy weight all the way over my head. And all that due to right technique. It’s like a game for body and mind. Both need to work together perfectly. 100% concentration. First pull: controlled. Legs only. Then find exactly the right moment for an explosive hip opening. Boom. You pull too early - you loose all the power. Extend the legs. The bar is flying! Now just don’t make any mistakes. Stay focused. Move the feet into catch position. Squat. Stay calm. Catch. Get up. What an incredible feeling! My tip for you: It’s all in the technique! Be patient. Master the details.
