We woke up to lots of rain 🌧 this morning. But its ok..... just look at this hearty warm bowl of Brown Rice Porridge. If you have left over brown rice... turn it into a porridge the next day. Also added a dollop of apple sauce that i had left over. Ingredients: milk( or vegetal milk of your choice) , cooked brown rice, 1 tbsp oats, apple sauce, almonds, cinnamon, dash of vanilla essence and blueberries. Who said breakfast is boring 🙂. A lil #transformationtuesday for you! Those shorts, bought them on super clearance last winter. They are a large. My extra large booty did not fit into them. Tried them on in June, still far too snug to move in. Today, they fit perfect!!! At first I was all about losing weight and getting rid of a few spare tires. Now, I am focused on being stronger than I was yesterday and shaping my body into a muscular one vs. a fatty one. These shorts fitting my big old behind motivates me to push even harder! I am all about the non scale victories now days or as I like to call it, a #nsv. Cause let's be real, the scale is a big old B word. 😉 Fitting into a size smaller is a HUGE #nonscalevictory! It didn't happen over night, it took time, patients, failure, success, fueling right, hydrating my body, getting 8 hours of sleep a night, self care and love, along with trusting that process. When you're ready, I am here to share the process with you! Trust me, it works, but you have to work with it too!

. Perfectionism: tendency to set rigid high standards of personal performance. Improve: to bring into a more desirable or excellent condition. There's a difference between wanting to do the best you can and expecting perfection from yourself in everything. I grew up expecting myself to be perfect at everything, and there could be no mistakes. This type of thinking/attitude left me afraid to try anything where there was the possibility of failure. This kept my life and experiences very narrow as it affected every area of my life: work, home, relationships or lack thereof. There was no room to grow as a person, because growth naturally includes “failure” and that, to me, was a nonstarter. I never seriously confronted this attitude and as result it became rooted in my mind. Where I am now is so different because my mindset has shifted. I am challenging my preconceived notions of what I can do every day and I look for ways to make small improvements, not for ways to be perfect. Is it overwhelming/scary to confront deeply rooted ways of thinking? Yes, but it is also exciting because I see there is room for me to grow as a person and gain experiences that enrich my life. I can move forward and embrace the failure and mistakes along the way, knowing that failure will only make me stronger. . -Coach Lynzee
