6pm St Anselm's Kingsley Nothing to bring...just yourself 🙏🙂
We are the creators of our days. It might not feel like it when we are buried beneath all the things we have to do and the things we really should do if only we had more time. On my blog this past week I’ve been thinking about how an image of myself as an old woman might impact me now. I’m reading Jenny Joseph’s poem Warning. And although her poem is tongue-in-cheek it has an important message. We can do and be whatever we want when we’re old because often we stop caring what other people think of us. Although many older folk often get stuck in the same ruts they’ve always been in. But how can a vision of the kind of woman we want to be at age 60 help us to make better choices here and now? Check out the latest post on my blog. I’d love to hear your response in the comments or on your own blog. #poetrymonday #wordsonwednesday #wednesdaywords #poetrywillsaveus #wordstoliveby #wordstoponder #creativist #createdaily #createyoursummer #createyourdays #createyourreality #creativeheart #risingtide #risingtidesociety #womenwriters #womenempowerment #womenwithambition #heartcentered #gowithin #innerwork #innerjourney
Had a great client session to day and connecting to the inner goddess came up. So much of the time when we are going through tough times or just super busy we forget to connect to that beautiful feminine goddess that we are! We forget to love on our selves and do that much needed self care! Often when these things are going on the last thing we feel is pretty, and that we are killin it at life be you are doing so much better than you think. Our inner critic is great at knocking us down. When a negative self thought comes in I’m not this or enough of this or do this or feel this try flipping it around. Enforce your fierceness because trust me you are! I love this deck because it has sooo many goddesses and tells you all about them and how to connect to that energy I am statements and more! These are the cards I pulled loving it!! I also pulled out patchouli because that’s one that makes me feel my goddess inside and serenity to calm my self and the mind to let that energy come in and accept how amazing you truly are! So if that’s where you have been and needing to connect to give those a try! . . . . . #akashicrecords #spirituality #intuition #mindsetshift #visonquest #chakrahealing #chakrabalancing #essentialoils #doterraessentialoils #planttherapy #zen #selfcare #sacredspace #heartcentered #personaldevelopment #emotionalhealth #feminine #enlightenment #awakening #spiritualawakening #spiritualjourney #spiritualgrowth #meditation #crystalhealing #crystals
//The pose begins when you want to get out of it.// One of my favorite thoughts about yoga and life too. Observing when and where I experience discomfort (now I'm talking mental/emotional) has been eye opening in terms of understanding some pretty intense anxiety I've dealt with for years. It seemed to come out of nowhere in my mid twenties and usually involved claustrophobic spaces and certain work or social scenarios. I was a licensed massage therapist at the time and stopped practicing because my attacks began to peak in sessions in the tiny treatment room I worked in. Abandoning my massage therapy career wasn't the answer, because my fears worked their way into my next career too and began to overflow into personal relationships. I would get physically ill, shaky and my heart would pound so hard my necklace would thump on my chest. I was so sick of feeling this uncontrollable panic. I used every tool I could - breathwork, aromatherapy, Bach flowers, and began working with a coach using cognitive behavioral techniques that encourage you to slowly, gently expose yourself to the situations that stir up anxiety, because sitting with the discomfort - and getting comfortable with being uncomfortable- is the only true way to conquer it. There's no magic bullet, and I think this will be a work in progress for the rest of my life. But my struggles have given me a deep appreciation for the power of thought and breath, and the power of scent and aromatherapy - all of which ended up playing roles in the concept of Intention and its offerings. --- Heart opener by the beautiful @beccapretorius thank you for letting me share your practice. 🙏💗
