Question of the day? How can I overcome social anxiety? Growing up I was always referred to as shy and socially awkward. I wanted to fit in but just had such a hard time talking to others. I’ve since learned that I have social anxiety. I would love to just be able to be “normal” in social situations. It would be great to be able to talk to others without overthinking everything I say and always feeling like I just don’t fit in. I’m considering seeing a therapist but before I do, I thought I’d see if there is anyone who can relate to my situation and has tips for overcoming social anxiety. Sincerely, Anxiously Waiting

Do you understand your mind? I try to fathom the complex thoughts and feelings by the analogy of the sky. The weather changes constantly and at short notice with seemingly no reason. Catherine has arrived at Roe Green Junior School to launch the @heads_together 'Mentally Healthy Schools' online resource. This new website will be available to every primary school in the UK, which will give teachers and staff the clarity and practical resources they need to support pupils. It is said that 1 in 10 children experience a mental health issue before the age of 11. Kate has put young people at the heart of Heads Together and her ongoing work with The Royal Foundation. I love the work Kate is doing for mental health, she's so dedicated towards it. 👏
