Guilty of living my own seasons of motivation and wander 🤘🏻I do know that motivation is something we create, we get after it... it's not given to us. Waiting around for motivation will not get us closer to it 🤷‍♀️. And if I'm being honest, it makes me anxious when I feel the need to be perfect. And if I'm being even more honest, I'm learning all about my own demons and this inner control freak who just wants things to be perfect. I never knew that part of me existed until I started to work on me and break free of whatever's holding me back. Giving less ducks 🦆 about things that don't fill me up with love ❤️. But I do know that spending an hour a day on my own health is MORE beneficial than anything I've ever spent an hour a day on. I always wonder where I'd be if this wasn't such a life change. But here I am, still in the buildin n feelin myself... even though it's been a week since I worked out. I made a lifestyle change and it serves me well 💃🏼✌🏻.... but I couldn't do it without a tribe of peeps doin it, 2. This long holiday weekend I was brutal to my body. I didn’t train at all, I ate garbage for 3 straight days and I never slept enough. Do you feel like a kangaroo sometimes? I’m not being funny I’m being serious. It can feel they way if you’ve got a mum pouch. Or your child/children are driving you hopping mad 😠. 😘 You’ve been carrying your baby for 9month or so? You’ve stretched to your limits literally. 😘 So back to the mummy pouch situation, been there got the t-shirt several times over. I’m sure fellow mummies can relate. 😘 Let’s take a look at what actually happens to our bellies once we’ve had a baby 🍼 . 😘 From when you give birth to your precious bundle of joy🤱🏿 your body’s hormones EVENTUALLY cause your tummy to decrease in size It doesn’t happen straight away. Remember it took your body around 9 months to stretch to carry your baby. 😘 Your protruding belly could be caused by a diastasis (a separation of the rectus abdominous the outer most abdominal muscle). More on this soon. 😘 Walking and light jogging 🏃🏾‍♀️ are generally the exercises you should do in the first 6 weeks after giving birth. 😘 The Dr told me I could return to exercising after 6 weeks. Guess when I was back? Exactly 6 weeks later 😂. 😘 I actually remember after my daughter was born I went gym with her dad and I had to stop exercising when I was planking because I felt a sharp pain in my belly. My abs weren’t fully recovered from pregnancy. 😘 My belly went down after two weeks. I will show pregnancy photos at another point so you can see how big my belly got and then how it went down. However I must stress each woman will be DIFFERENT and I was a regular exerciser BEFORE, DURING and AFTER pregnancy 🤰🏿.
Finally home and settled from our weekend trip. I now need a Xanax and a glass wine (just kidding.... maybe) . I may have threw my eating plan out the window but that's over, I enjoyed my time with friends and family. Tomorrow is a new day! . The old me would have beat herself up for eating "too many calories" but the me today, the one who loves herself no matter what, says "move on, get over it, tomorrow it's all going to be ok" . 😚😚😚😚 . You won't lose weight from eating one salad.
