Regrann from @mrsconstancehall - I over heard some teenage girls talking.... “Me and him are really close, he’s really protective of me.” “Yeah that’s like James, he’s so protective of me. Once a guy was rude to me at a party and he had a full on go at him” The girls looked happy with this, they felt loved, protected, precious.. And I couldn’t help but intervene. “You can be cute if you wanna be cute, boys can fight over you, protect you and look after you.. that’s easy. But when you’re powerful, strong, self assured.. respected.. it’s insulting to be protected and fought over. You stand up for yourself and do not need little boys throwing little punches in your honour. You see when a man fights for you, he’s not telling you he loves you. He’s telling the other man that you’re his, that he’s stronger, he’s falling into the toxic masculine culture that holds women down and keeps men angry. So if a boy is rude to you at a party, look for a boyfriend that stands by your side proudly while you defend yourself or simply walks away with you. You don’t need protection when your a warrior women in the making” Be more then cute. Be powerful. Be Queens. 👑💖 - #regrann . . #strongwomen #strength #queen #likeaqueen #lovethiswoman #breastfeeding #positivebreastfeeding #love #cornwallhypnobirthing #cornwallhypno

TOP TIP FOR DAY 3 AFTER YOUR BIRTH What can a savoy cabbage do for you? When you wake up on day 3, feeling like Dolly Parton with rocks attached to you (the sensation you experience when your milk comes in), make sure that you have a savoy cabbage in the fridge. Take the leaves and place in your bra to help relieve the feelings of hard, tender and painful breasts. Cold cabbage leaves are thought to help reduce the pain of breast engorgement. Don't worry it doesn't last for long. #breastfeeding #4thtrimester #1sttimemum #2ndtimemum #savoycabbage #emmamillsprivatemidwife
I asked Lee to take a picture of me breastfeeding Violet just to see what it looked like. But it turns out this is now one of my favourite pictures so after a bit of umming and ahhhing, I thought I'd share it. It's absurd to think some mums are made to think there is shame in breastfeeding publicly. I am lucky enough to be able to do it and don't hesitate to give my baby food and comfort when and where she needs it. #breastfeeding #positivebreastfeeding #publicbreastfeeding #thegoodstuff #babysgottaeat #tangiblelove #motherandbaby #noshame #incomparablebond #hungrybaby

@piece.of.our.world - •World Breastfeeding Week• So many times I see people using harsh words to speak to the woman who has chosen to display her breastfeeding, especially when it is an older child. What you don't see and what you don't understand is the child who is hungry and only wants mamas milk, a child that is hurt or upset and mamas milk is what instantly makes the child forget the pain, a child who is sick and mamas milk eases the pain and heals the body. You don't see or understand the mom who is exhausted, over touched and just wants a moment to herself. She may be tired of breastfeeding herself but in that moment she may not be quite ready to wean the child who is so dependent upon mamas milk, so she selflessly continues to nourish her child with the sweet nectar being made in her body. You don't see the begging toddler and the exhausted mom telling the child not right now you can have boobie later. To the people with the negative uneducated opinions on breastfeeding please start having an open mind with the ability to understand the 'why' and the factual evidence backing it up instead of only having an opinion on the matter. An opinion which is the lowest form of human knowledge considering it requires no accountability. Before you say such hurtful things to a breastfeeding mom think about what evidence or facts you have backing your negative opinion up, I guarantee there is none. That breastfeeding mom may already be discouraged, she may be ready to give up, she may be struggling, she may have no support system and she doesn't need negative opinions, she needs positive support. •••••••••••••••• I don't care if you formula feed, breast feed for a few months or breastfeed as long as you want. What matters most is that the child is happy, healthy and loved. ❤️❤️❤️ #worldbreastfeedingweek #naturaltermbreastfeeding #Breastfeedingtonaturalterm #breastfeedingtoddler #worldbreastfeedingweek2016 #wbw #wbw2016 #positivebreastfeeding #beautifulbreastfeeding #breastfeedingart . . . #normalizebreastfeeding #beautifulbfing #bfing #extendedbreastfeeding #ebf #boobslactés #amorlíquido #normalizenursing #amamentacao #amamentar #normalisebreastfeeding

This picture means so much to me😭 it brings back sooo many memories! . . Breastfeeding alone can be hard and frustrating for any mom. It takes patience, effort, and a lot of support. It was nearly impossible for me to breastfeed Leon- but I did not give up! I breastfed my previous 3 with no problem; but after my third child (Isis) turned 2 years old, I had breast augmentation surgery. When Leon was born, I wasn’t producing enough breast milk to meet his caloric intake- I had to consume double the amount of calories a breastfeeding mommy has to consume, in order to provide the best nutrition for him. Due to that reason, I gained over 50 pounds. I don’t regret it, I’m just glad I snapped back! Leon breastfed for a total of 1 year 1/2!! 😳🤣 . . . #breastfeedingmommy #breastfeeding #breastfeedingstruggles #breastfeedingpositions #positivebreastfeeding #breastfeedingproblems #breastfeedingsuccess #normalizebreastfeeding #fbf #cockyhumblefitness
Before I had Alby I really wanted to breastfeed but was convinced I’d fail... all the stories you read explain how it’s normal to find it difficult and you will be up all night and exhausted all the time and they make it sound not very appealing. You don’t hear from the mums who find it easy from fear of sounding Braggy. Well I’m going to brave it... try it, your baby might take to it like a duck to water like Alby did, we used shields for a couple of weeks and now she’s bossing it without. Nearly 7 weeks in and I’m so glad I didn’t read to much into the difficulties because everyone is different! Alby is bossing it. (Watch it all go tits up now 😂) #breastfeeding #positivebreastfeeding
I had to squirt some milk in his eyes to clear up a little conjunctuvitis, hence this positioning. The easiest way at this age is to nurse on one side to keep him happy, express and aim with the other. Switch sides and repeat on the other eye. Of course he wanted to keep nursing after it was done, too. 💛 #beautifulbreastfeeding #positivebreastfeeding #attachmentparenting #breastmilk #breastfeeding #breastfed #breastfeedwithoutfear #nursewithoutfear #normalizebfing #normalizebreastfeeding #breastfeedwithoutfear #nursewithoutfear #positivebreastfeeding #beautifulbreastfeeding #ChildLedWeaning #motherhood #breastisnormal #mamasmilk #breastfeedingphotos #brelfie #breastfeedingphotography #liquidgold

Breastfeeding can be so full complexities... push and pull, longing and sadness, joy and sacrifice, commitment and triumph. As soon as our babies emerge into the world it's time to begin navigating this entirely new terrain. Sometimes it's plain sailing and sometimes the road is rough. Intimate and beautiful, this image encapsulates it all 🖤 @born.wild.photography Via @gabysweetphotography What was your breastfeeding journey like? . . . . . . #breastfeedingisbeautiful #breastfeedwithoutfear #feedingwithlove #positivebreastfeeding #skintoskin
No BLW photos today so I thought I’d share a positive breastfeeding experience instead ☺️ After a crazy day of travelling and settling in to our amazing holiday apartment (we’ve got a unexpected hot tub 🙌🏼) We went out for dinner this evening and after trying by a bit of my pasta and ham (he’s teething badly at the moment so just wants boob) he deciding he was milky hungry... Before we arrived I’d felt a bit nervous about BF out here for some reason but Archie knows what he wants when he wants it! So I’m feeding in the restaurant with my jumper over us a bit and the all the male waiters were all so nice about it, not avoiding talking to us and carrying on like all was normal (which it is, but you know what I mean). When the bill came the waiter brought over an alcoholic shot for my husband and when I declined for myself he said “I thought you might not, so I brought you a lollipop instead, he looks hungry so you’ll need some sugar, lollipop not for baby just you”. Such a lovely small gesture that meant a lot and making me feel so comfortable 💙 #breastfeeding #positivebreastfeeding #breastfeedingmama #breastfeedinginpublic #breastfeedingsupport
Checked out this @mamava_vt nursing pod at @bwi_airport last weekend, located within the children's play area. Pretty nice! I didn't nurse inside it, but I could see it being a nice spot to hang out with a young baby. Quiet, clean, equipped with an electrical outlet for private pumping, two bench seats. A nearby waste receptacle (outside the pod) would be an improvement, and maybe a one-way window for those of us who get claustrophobic easily. Remember -- nursing rooms are NOT FOR THE COMFORT OF OTHERS, they are FOR THE COMFORT OF MOTHERS AND BABIES, should they feel benefitted by using them at any time. (Private pumping if she wishes, an overstimulated baby, keeping older non-nursing siblings contained, etc). #beautifulbreastfeeding #positivebreastfeeding #breastmilk #breastfeeding #breastfed #breastfeedwithoutfear #nursewithoutfear #normalizebfing #normalizebreastfeeding #breastfeedwithoutfear #nursewithoutfear #positivebreastfeeding #beautifulbreastfeeding #naturaltermbreastfeeding #fulltermbreastfeeding #extendedbreastfeeding #toddlerbreastfeeding #lactationroom #nursingroom #ChildLedWeaning #motherhood #breastisnormal #mamasmilk #tandemnursing #momlife #attachmentparenting #liquidgold #nip
