Well we are back at our favorite place. Tony was admitted to LPCH after having 20 seizures with in 12 hours. One of those seizures was 15 Minutes long. This seizure occurred at a hospital local to us called good sam. They just stood around looking at us not knowing what to do, while I auctioned him l because he had bit his tongue and while my mom gave oxygen to keep his stats up. We where so displeased with service we requested an a mediate transfer to Stanford. Tony so far has aspirated which is good. But that seizure caused his heart rate to be at 160 bpm for 20 mins. He was really struggling to breath after. We thought we where going to lose him because again good sam didn’t have diazepam. Which just baffled us. So far tony has been okay. He had a seizure this morning at 930 but this on was just focal and not the grand mal ones that last 2 mins and drop his oxygen like crazy. He will be getting an EEG to see if he is having seizures we can’t see and such. We have been trying to get oxygen for Home but are not giving it to us which is extremely frustrating. Prayers are very much appreciated. • • • #seizuressuck #hawaii #makeawish #makeawishsf #hospitallife #standfordchildrenshospital #lpch
We snapped this adorable picture of 5-month-old Aiden taking a little snooze in the arms of his mom in our NICU yesterday! Aiden was born four months early, weighing just over 2 pounds and continues to be cared for by specialists throughout our hospital. Because Aiden was premature, he developed retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), a condition that caused the vessels in his eyes to not develop correctly. As a result, Aiden was transferred to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to be cared for by specialists from our Eye Program. Doctors came to Aiden’s bedside in our NICU to perform laser eye surgery to help his eyes develop, preventing blindness as he grows up. In addition to his ROP, Aiden’s lungs were underdeveloped at birth, so Aiden relies on a tracheostomy and ventilator to breathe. Today, he continues to grow and hit milestones in our NICU. Stay strong, Aiden! #NICU #nicuawareness #nicuawarenessmonth #ROP #retinopathyofprematurity #tracheostomy #ventilator #prematurebaby #prematurity #newmom #premie

A year after the heart breaking 💔 loss of a baby, I prayed so desperately for a healthy baby girl! 👶 So, 13 years ago today- the winds of Hurricane Rita brought me the answer to my prayer, so I called her Brooke! 💧 She’s full of creative passion, so very smart, but most of all she has a HUGE heart for God and humanity. She sees beauty in everything! SHE is my living proof- that God answers prayer! AND-He ALWAYS SENDS us a RAINBOW 🌈 after the storm!!!☔️ Happy 13th Birthday my beautiful, babbling Brooke! 💙 • • • • #TEENAGER #parenting #hurricanebaby #rainbowbaby🌈 #premie
