I prepped my tahini with garlic, lemon juice, cumin, salt and pepper then added some horseradish I’d prepared, a little honey, some olive oil and parsley. #homemade #energyballs #weekendtreat Packed with #nutrients 1 1/2 cup of almonds, cashews and pumpkin seeds 1 cup of pitted soft dates 1 tbsp raw cacao powder 1 tbsp melted coconut oil 1 tbsp hemp seeds 1 tbsp chia seeds 1 tsp maca powder crushed pistachio for dusting Blend nuts and seeds in a food processor, then add the dates, coconut oil, cacao and maca and blend until a soft dough forms. Stir in hemp and chia seeds. If the dough is too hard, add a little water. Roll little balls from it and cover with the crushed pistachios. Keep them in the fridge. Yesterday I made flourless cookies for us to take on the road today 🍫🍫🍫 They are made with real ingredients and are rich in favor. You'd never guess they're flourless. Plus, they're really easy to make! I like to make my own snacks in order to avoid buying last minute junk food on the road and to keep food waste to a minimum. I usually take whatever's left on the fridge and somehow turn it into a salad, but since I had some extra almond butter and some chocolate I decided to go for the cookies as well 😉 Here's the recipe: ( Serves approx. 15 cookies) 1 cup almond butter 1 egg beaten 1/2 cup coconut sugar 2 teaspoons maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 4 ounces of dark chocolate chips (I used chocolate chunks this time and it turned our great) 1. Preheat the oven 350° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper 2. Mix sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, egg, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. 3. Add almond butter and stir well to combine. Add the chocolate chips 4. Scoop 1 tablespoon size balls on the parchment lined baking sheet. 5. Cook for 12- 15 minutes (longer if you like crisp cookies) 6. Quick snack or is this a meal ?? A lot of people don’t understand that the #realfood bars can be classed as a meal replacement. Reason being is that it’s real food. Sweet potato, yams, blueberries, oats, egg whites. There’s no fillers in them, no chemicals. Just real food a bar that really gives you 20g protein. Yes 20g and 34g carbs. Some people have said that the bars feel heavy and stodgy. But wait till you eat them. The bars breakdown and digest easily you don’t feel full or sickie the way some bars make you feel. 🇺🇸How I Meal Prep: Including planning and shopping it usually takes me 3 hours. 1. The goal is to prepare 10 meals, so I plan 3 different proteins and go from there, last week for example I picked chicken, salmon and ground beef. Then you plan the sides, usually sautéed veggies, veggie pasta, etc, last week I made Brussels sprouts, sweet potato and spaghetti squash. 2. Plan made get your grocery shop list done and go shopping 3. At home I try to use the oven and the stove at the same time, so as my squash is cooking, I also have my salmon in there, my chicken is marinating and I’m sautéing veggies, save some time here 4. Set my containers and start putting my meals together. Done! 5. Tip 1. Search for 1 pan meals recipes, they are quicker to prepare, last time I made #cauliflowerrice with shrimp and some other veggies, all in the same fry pan, it was really yummy, still very easy to prepare. 6. Tip 2. Leave some frozen options like hamburger in the fridge, in case you don’t feel like having the same food again 🇧🇷em português nos comentários
