Sleep deprivation was used as a form of torture, It effects every part of our being. Anyone who has followed me for a while knows my son has sleep apnea. When he was a baby we were lucky to get an hours sleep and he was always moving... It drained us mentally, physically & emotionally to the point where we didn't know how much longer we could cope without sleep. 2 1/2 years in he was diagnosed with apnea. He was accepted to a sleep study that was proving development is delayed with apnea kids. At 3 he had his tonsils and adenoids removed. Here's some fun facts we discovered with Tristan. 👉They present with adhd symptoms because they don't sit still. 👉It effects the sound going in. 👉Delayed speech because of above. 👉Taste buds don't develop properly, so generally fussy eaters. 👉They snore. Even after surgery he still wakes between 4 - 4.30 most days. The surgery didn't get rid of it completely. Breathing isn't something he knows how to do well so once he's up, His system goes into hyper drive and that's it. No chance of going back to sleep and he is bouncing off the walls. With apnea & kids the less sleep they get the more adrenaline they have. The body goes into fight or flight to make up for the lack of oxygen going in. We use oils for him to calm his body, calm his mind & helps support him emotionally! Cause you know what sleep deprivation does to your own mood right?! Today he was up at 3am!!!!! I am exhausted! When he has really early wakings it takes me back to when we got zero sleep and the anxiety kicks in for me. The thought of going back to that little sleep scares the shit out of me! Today I will be gentle and allow my body as much rest as I can give it. I will use my oils to support me to stay awake & ease the anxiety ❤
Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person's breathing is interrupted during sleep. People with untreated sleep apnea stop breathing repeatedly during their sleep, sometimes hundreds of times. This means the brain -- and the rest of the body -- may not get enough oxygen. Do you wanna know what the absolute best most effective ab workout is? . . . . . Laughing until your stomach hurts. It’s also known to firm up your face and make your heart grow. If it weren’t for this side hustle I wouldn’t have met any of these women. We are all different but as a team we come together and have the time of our lives doing what we love. And seriously if it weren’t for them I would have to lay on the floor and do 5 million crunches 😂!
I'm fighting this alone. Yes it is stressfull. My depression days might come back. Letih. Nak tidur pun dah takut. Bayangkan la. Kau baru lelap mata tak sampai 5 minit terus tak boleh bernafas, badan kaku tak boleh bergerak. Otot saluran pernafasan dah tertutup almost 100% Cara paling berkesan cuma cuba untuk menjerit sekuat hati sambil gerakkan kepala untuk kasi saluran pernafasan tu terbukak balik. Dah macam bawak kereta manual. 2 tahun kena benda ni. Bukan tak pernah jumpa doktor. Adaaa. Katanya try turunkan berat badan. Yes dah cuba tapi sekarang ni makin lama makin teruk. Gua pun dah letih nak positifkan diri. Berserah jelah. Taknak mintak apa-apa. Cuma nak tidur lena berkualiti tanpa ada rasa takut. Itu je. #sleep #sleepapnea #sleepapneafighter #fighter #sleepapneasucks #ineedgoodsleep
Continuing prep for my Mighty Five adventure I had the occasion to test some of my equipment on a recent business trip. I live with sleep apnea and wear a cpap each night. So my task is to figure out how to do this camping in an SUV. I thought the answer was this Halo rechargeable battery that I got for a steal on QVC. I charged it up and plugged in my cpap Monday night and went to sleep. I had hoped for 1 or 2 nights with it, but it only lasted four hours. Another test was how fast (or slow) the battery would recharge using my car battery. Also not that great as it recharged less than 75% during my three and a half hour drive home. Admittedly this Halo is not made for what I used it for and it will still likely make the trip with me to charge my phone and camera batteries. I still have a dilemma. I’d be very interested what other campers use to mange their apnea while off the grid. #apnea #sleepapneasucks #thegreatoutdoors #greatoutdoors #hyundaisantafe #getoutside #camping #campinghacks #campinggear #themightyfive #nps #nationalparks #adventuretime #adventure #travelblogger #hikingadventures #hiking #optoutside #explore #ontheroad #suv #wanderlust #halo #qvc
