Do you know your email’s subject line is your recipient’s first impression of you? And it may also be their last impression of you if you don’t grab their attention enough to make them open your email. 😟😟😟😟😟 A sure way to get a person to NOT read your email is by keeping a subject line in an old email conversation even if it doesn’t reflect the current topic. (SMH, very shabby). You'll portray yourself as lazy and quite incompetent.. To create an effective subject line, always include two things: 1. what action you want the recipient to take and 2. the date by which this action needs to occur. This information will clearly and accurately tell your recipient what your email is about, and that will make them more likely to open your emails in the future. Like what your reading? Then show me some 💕💕💕, share and tag your business besties who offer B2B services or professional services. Rooting for your success......Your online business partner. Bel.

Most times we think we're on the right track. Doing what we may think is right at perhaps at the time we deem right. Well, here's a list of things which we need to stop doing so as to make reasonable head way in our daily activities or goals. Our email etiquette series kicked off today. Check the previous posts to read up. Turn on post notifications to alert you when the rest of the series are posted. Finally, like, share and tag a business or two to benefit from the teachings.
HEY, KISS!!! ( Keep It Short and Sweet/Simple). . . . Email was invented to communicate information instantly. It’s supposed to be a time-saver. . . . Sending someone an email that’s two, three to four or more pages long, means you’re taking advantage of that person’s time. . . . Almost everyone is reading their emails on mobile devices now. Scrolling through tiny text makes it especially difficult to read lengthy emails. So if a person opens up an email you’ve sent and sees that you’ve written them a novel, they probably aren’t going to take the time to read through it.! Your email will either get deleted or forgotten before it’s ever read. . . When you write an email, get to the point quickly. Don’t go on a rambling journey about unrelated topics or unnecessary information. Once you figure out the premise of your email, make sure you stick to it! If you really think that you can’t be concise with the email you’re sending, you’re not using the correct platform for your message. . . . Remember that there are other ways to communicate. Just because email has become our go-to doesn’t mean it’s your only option. . . . So if you sit down to write an email and find that you have a lot to say, I advise you don’t write the email. Instead call up the person on the phone or go talk to your recipient in person. . . . You’ll surely save both of you lots of time!
USE YOUR PUNCTUATION MARKS AND THEN PROOF READ. I am kicking off the professional email series now. We're starting with the use of punctuation marks and proof reading. If you want to learn how to write professional looking emails then you need to start reading this series. Proof reading your email would ideally take just an extra minute of your time, so there’s really no excuse for you not to do it. Choosing to send an email with little to no punctuation, poor grammar, or simple typos, shows a lack of professionalism and seriousness. You are conveying to the recipient of the email your lack of time and attention in writing the email. . . When they see your email, your recipient may wonder how much you actually care about them reading your email. . . They assume that if you can’t take the time to go back through your email and make sure it’s clear and correct, why should they bother to read that same message? Duh?! Grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors are distracting. They detract from the message you’re sending and, in some cases, may confuse the reader. . . If you want to be an effective communicator, you should always read through your emails and make any necessary corrections before you hit the send button. . . Tag a business bestie that would be interested in this series.

A lot of care needs to be taken when writing your emails. Emails can tell a lot about your kind of person so you need to get them right if you want your emails to be opened and read. If you'd like to look professional with professionally written emails, then you need to stick to this page to learn how. Turn on your post notifications and tag a sister business to learn too.
So many people don't understand that most VAs are not people that just decided to become VAs. Most VAs have worked in a professional capacity in corporate offices and are quite experienced. Some have acquired certifications to be able to practice their specializations. So think twice about under pricing a VA or thinking a VA is unqualified for the amount he or she charges for their time and services. . . . I put up a Facebook video on my Fan page that will help you understand more about Virtual Assistance. . . . The link is in my bio and will only be up for 24 hours. Click to view.
LOG YOUR MILES || I time block and theme my days and Monday is for accounting. Yeay! I'm actually one of those people who loves bookkeeping. 🏎️ To help you keep on top of your bookkeeping, here's Monday's 10 minute task. 🏎️ Log your mileage, anywhere you've travelled in your car that was solely for work purposes. Did you pop to the shops to pick up ink cartridges (seems like this is what most of my mileage is for!)? You may think it's just a small trip, but it all adds up. . . . . . #virtualassistant #socialmediava #mumpreneur #creativeentrepreneur #businessmentor #succesfulwoman #creativecareers #creativeentrepreneur #freelancer #femaleentrepreneur #freelancedesigner #womenwhowork #homebasedbusiness #newbusiness #femaleboss #workhard #northumberland #newcastle #newcastleupontyne #whereiwork #workfromanywhere #workfromhomelife
It was a pretty low key week for me. Was under the weather and kinda still recuperating. . . . So I'm mighty glad the weekend finally rolled over. . . . Will be getting some seriously needed R&R. . . . Here's wishing you a restful weekend.
Being unique is what gets you noticed and seen. Don't follow what everyone else is doing. Set yourself apart from the others - whether it's your brand, your products, or your services - do it differently, but do it well! And don't apologize for it. You'll be amazed as how much that can benefit you. • #virtualassistant #virtualassistance #virtualassistantservices #virtualassistantforhire #socialmediamanager #socialmedia #creativeva #socialmediava #hireava #designer #graphics #creative #digitalmediamarketingtips #uniquebusiness
Procrastination: Do you remember when you've been given a deadline to write a project, submit a proposal, develop some content etc? You do remember how that deadline used to loom over your head for a month or whatever the time frame was but you always just seemed to crank it during the final week? See them o! This doesn't give you permission to wait until the 11th hour to meet your deadline but it does encourage great leverage for efficiency like imposing shorter deadlines for a task, or scheduling an earlier meeting. It just means, set short timed targets for your goals as the longer the deadline, the longer it takes you to achieve those goals (procrastination). If you found this helpful, like, share and tag a business that might need this. Rooting for your success....... Your Online Business Partner, Bel.
I'd like to know so that I can help.
PRODUCTIVITY TIP // Do you actually know how you spend your time within your business. You may be busy, but are you being productive. Why don't you try tracking your time and see if you're spending your time where it needs to be. I find the more I track my time, the more focused I become and I only allow myself a certain amount of time for frivolous tasks. ⏱️ Toggl is a free app, where you can either start a timer and let it run until you've finished your task, or you can write all your times down (like I do) and then manually input them in. . . . . . #virtualassistant #socialmediava #socialmediamanagement #toggl #creativeentrepreneur #freelancer #femaleentrepreneur #freelancedesigner #womenwhowork #girlboss #inspiringwomen #entrepreneur #fempreneur #investinwomen #ladyboss #smallbusinesslife #worklifebalance #freelancerlife #womensupportingwomen #homebasedbusiness #newbusiness #femaleboss #hustle #workhard #workfromhome #bosswoman #administrativeassistant #smallbusiness #virtualassistantservices #smallbusiness
Se I have been singing it here and you guys thought I was only just trying to market my business (😂😂😂 abeg who isn't jare?) Coming back to the reason for this post. Did you see @naijabrandchick's post about delegating? Swipe left👈 So, it isn't until an Influencer tells you to delegate/outsource certain tasks, you people will not hear! You think they are superhumans and do everything themselves? Haba!!! Come closer, let me gist you about Kylie Jenner. You know her right? Forbes youngest billionaire? "Much of Jenner's work on Kylie Cosmetics happens on social media. The manufacturing, packaging, and sales are all outsourced to private companies, and the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch and Kylie's mother, Kris Jenner, handles the financial and public relations aspects of the brand," Forbes reported. That leaves Jenner to promote her products on Instagram and other platforms, which she does frequently. Oya, go ye and be super people. Let me stay on my lane o! Abeg who knows knows. Want to free up your time to focus on what matters? I'll be resting in my DM. Come join me there. Sent via @planoly #
