💪🏽 I don’t know how I hit 24 reps of 225 back in HS going in to my senior year for football. But I’m starting to catch up to my strength when I was 17 years old. Want to MASTER the basics of human movement?🍓🍓 - People are NOT moving correctly!!😞 - Horizontal Pushing is an BASIC human function and TOO MANY people are not performing it.🤨 - BELIEVE ME and give this a try :)!😜 - Heres how to do this Bench Press!🧐 - 1️⃣ Spinal Joint - Ensure the lower spine is in a neutral position (i.e. avoid over arching or over flexing). - 2️⃣ Spinal Joint - Ensure the middle spine is in a neutral position or over extended. - 3️⃣ Shoulder Blade Joint - Ensure the shoulder blade is locked in position before pressing (i.e. downwardly rotate, depress and retract the shoulder blade). - 4️⃣ Shoulder Joint - Ensure the shoulder joint is neutrally rotated ( i.e avoid internally rotating the shoulder) - 5️⃣ Shoulder Joint - Engage lower trapezius muscles and latissimus dorsi to ensure stability of the shoulder joint and shoulder blade. - 6️⃣ Wrist Joint - Ensure the wrist is in a neutral position and avoid thumbless grip as this may result in the barbell slipping forward. - 7️⃣ Elbow Joint - Wrist above elbow at all times and ensure one locks the elbow at the top position of the bench press.
