OMG. Look how bendy I used to be 🙈 the one on the left is me today. The one on the right is almost 4 years ago 😮😬. I used to practice yoga everyday and I was (to me) SO BeNDY! I was never a flexible person so when I started yoga in 2012 it was very frustrating. It just took my body a long time to do what I wanted it to do 😂😂. My #kaylaversary. It's been a year since I started lovingly cussing at that beautiful Australian girl. I love the progress and the happiness on the right, but the left stands out to me even more. That is ALSO the smile of someone who loves her body, her baby belly, mombod, that squish, and everything it gave me. That is the smile of gratitude for three healthy babies, for two at once that I never would have asked for or dreamed of, the smile of survival of a scary uterine hemorrhage (on the blog). I kept that attitude too, I embraced and loved myself through the entire postpartum process, both weight loss and emotionally adjusting to be needed by 3 children instead of 1! Wear it well. Wear it with gratitude. Acknowledging that it didn't, and still doesn't, matter how "in shape" or "toned" or whatever I get, I will still have days where I want to be hard on myself and I will allow them to make me grow. I WILL grow old and wrinkly and I want to love my #grandmabod as much as this one. As far as the workouts go this is the longest I've stuck with a program because I feel I can adapt the workouts to my mood and blood sugars. I aim for 3 strength workouts a week and fill the rest of the time with low intensity cardio, occasional yoga or stretch/roller sessions, and everyday running to keeping up with my children! I follow 80/20 intuitive eating on a intermittent fasting diet. I don't do it when I'm feeling sick, stressed, or tired. I've centered workouts around blood sugars and am seeing the rewards all around! Plus having the energy to even keep up with these three 🙈! #mamatired
Throwback to Valentine’s Day because I’ve nothing new to post 😂 I’m so happy that it’s Friday now and I get the weekend off, I seriously need a lie on 💤Busy weekend ahead and a trip to Dublin planned with T 🙌🏻 today is AAA and I’m just hoping the leg cramps don’t kick in before then 🙈 I’ve been upping my weights this week and I’m gonna have to get some new weights so that I can keep up with myself! I’m enjoying 80 day obsession so much and I think the progress I can see keeps pushing me forward 💪🏻 I hope you’re all having a great Friday 💞

#bbg12weekchallenge week 6 arms & abs and LISS 2X done! Had to stack my workout today since I’m a bit behind so far this week. Being able to control my portions a bit better these past few weeks really help me in losing a few pounds. I’m now roughly 6 pounds down from when I first started which is pretty amazing. It’s not a gradual change, but rather a big change once my eating is more under control. I still have the daily ups and downs, but, like seeing changes in your body, any improvement really encourages me to do better. I also am more aware when I’m eating too much. It simply doesn’t feel that good anymore.
