Happy Friday!!! Today’s Beach Yoga Tone is EXACTLY what I needed to stretch my body but still get in a good sweat. Followed it with an invigorating, stress-relieving run. If i post pretty much the same picture as yesterday, but change the orientation....it’s a new thing right?? 😬 sorry for all the breakfast pics, people. That’s just what i got these days ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I am cursed with waking up early no matter what. So when I went out last night 🍹and had a couple drinks, i was so damn tired and NOT able to hang. And despite going to bed a lot later than normal, i was still up and at ‘em at 5:30am 😵 Seriously...I’d give anything to be able to stay out till 3, sleep in until 10, and be a NORMAL COLLEGE KID. Instead, I’m a granny 👵🏻 at the ripe old age of 21 😂 Self care for the day has consisted of taking it slow because I’m FLIPPING TIRED! I also made it to yoga, which was awesome for a little mental clarity (and a well needed stretch!). I’m thinking tonight might be a Game if Thrones binge watch sesh on the couch...and I’m pumped for it 😋 Hope y’all are well and enjoying the start of the long weekend!! I went back and forth so many times on if I want to post this and you know what, if you don't like it, ✌🏼So here goes nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️ Ive never felt "fat" but my entire life felt out of shape and not in love with the way I looked. For whatever reason that may be, whether its just in my head or blame it on society and social media, I wasn't happy with myself. Growing up I felt bigger and broader than most of my friends (these swimmers shoulders don't lie). Once I got out of high school I quit playing sports and focused more on boys and partying. Once I hit my 20's was when I realized I had to start watching what I was eating and start incorporating daily exercise into my life or I'm going to become a potato. The picture on the left was taken by my mom in 2017 and I told her not to tag me in it because I felt insecure and gross. 2018 I went full force into my fitness journey- the picture on right is today. It might not look like much to some but to me I feel confident and happy in my own skin for the first time in my life. I would never think in a million years I would post a picture in a bikini but Im so proud of how far I have come mentally and physically so I owe it to myself. Learning to love your body is an amazing thing.
