This is my Collagen Peptides! Vitamin C to build collagen, amino acids in the proper amounts for our bodies, and that soothing natural sugar that your cells run on. Contrary to popular belief, all the collagen and bone broth hype is totally ignorant to science and is just pseudo-science shared to lead consumers to believe they need to spend more money or more time in the kitchen for something that will only make you weaker (getting more money out of you in the long run as you try to find more fixes for your ravaged health). Whether bone broth is made at home or purchased in supplement form, we need to look at the science of how our body works in order to gain clarity. When we consume bone broth for the amino acids that comprise collagen, we aren’t getting what we think we are. When ingested, these amino acid chains hit our stomach acid and unravel back into individual amino acids(no longer “collagen”). From here our bodies do what they need with the individual amino acids, but they don’t use it in our joints or to create supple skin. However, since we’ve subscribed to such high protein diets, our body often doesn’t need any of the additional protein in Bone Broth, so unfortunately the hours spent in the kitchen or $$$ spent on that supplement get either flushed down the toilet(literally) or get stored in your body as fat. The question to go back to: how do we boost collagen if these “Collagen” supplements aren’t doing that? It begins with Vitamin C. Yes, VITAMIN C. Sure, you need all those amino acids, but hold up on packing your body with bone broth for them(there is plenty to be said for the diets we eat that are so HIGH in protein that thinking we need protein supplements or additional protein boost outside of whole foods is ludicrous. But that’s for another day). Collagen production begins with something called Procollagen. The smaller molecule is created by vitamin C and as it is produced the molecules bond to the proteins and forms collagen. Vitamin C is the true building block for all the cartilage, skin, tendons, ligaments, etc. So here is the question, when and why did protein become the focus and at what cost?

WHAT"S IN MY PANTRY PASTA So I eat a lot of pasta. It so simple and so easy to make your own. I made this for dinner the day after getting back from Nebraska. I basically used whatever I had in my pantry. I hadn't been able to get to the grocery store because when you get back from driving 22 hours what do you do? (Sleep... a lot of sleep) Then Laundry because you haven't been home in over a week. SO to make this pasta I used: 3 cloves of garlic one yellow onion two cans of diced tomatoes Half a bag of frozen kale dash of soy sauce tablespoon of sugar healthy amount of Italian seasoning All served over a beautiful pile of spaghetti ❤️ This is something I use to make all the time! I could eat pasta for all my meals. TOFU?! 💁🏻‍♀️ - I’ve only recently started adding tofu and tempeh products to my diet occasionally and I’ll be honest - at first I was really confused! 😐 - How can this white jelly like substance end up tasting delicious? 🤷🏻‍♀️ - I made my fair share of mistakes at the beginning - but I have nailed down these four steps that make tofu truly delicious! 🤤 - Another thing to note about tofu is that there are so many kinds which adds to the confusion.
