NON-WEIGHT WAYS OF MEASURING PROGRESS - Morning sugar plums - Sunday a day of reflection and making plans for the week ahead, so before some of you start getting in a flap about your lack of progress last week, because the scale didn't move consider me progress fairy god mother. - I am here to snap you out of your mesmerised state on your body weight. - Yes of course they are important if you’re trying to lose fat but numbers are not the only thing to indicate that things are moving in the right direction. - I ask my online fat loss clients to use a number of tracking methods - 👉🏻photos( every 6 weeks) 👉🏻tape measurements( every 2 weeks) 👉🏻scale using averages (if comfortable) But these are only a small focuses - I am constantly asking them to think about other changes they’ve noticed. I'm like a broken record... - This helps them to see that even when the numbers aren’t moving, which they won’t every week, it doesn’t mean they aren’t making weekly progress. - Moving the focus to include the bigger picture helps to keep them on track. - There is no better feeling like knowing you’ve achieved something and that you're actually moving forward in your journey. - Only focusing on the numerical side of things is why so many people abandon ship to early do these sound familiar? - 🕩"This is this is too hard the scale hasn't moved this week what's the point" - says the person who spends the next week beating themselves up and be inconsistent with their plan - 🕩" My plan isn't working the scale hasn't moved this week "- says the person who spends the next week being inconsistent as they search for a new plan What you've failed to realise is that you had made lots of progress aside from the scale and progress is progress whatever it is. If you just keep going then in time the other changes would absolutely follow. - If you feel like this is you then stop focusing on just the scale number and actually look at every aspect of your journey.

I've been acting like a loser... have you? Has life ever gotten in the way to the point where you haven't been to the gym in a few months and make excuse after excuse?? It has for me... And I'm now reflecting and realizing that my excuses have been absolute bull! Stop making excuses for the goals you have in life. Time for me to do the same.
